Matt Riddle vs Finn Balor

An interesting bout indeed. Since Finn Balor’s return to NXT, he has been perhaps the most watched WWE superstar. Turning Balor heel was much needed and full credit to the company for making it happen in NXT. Matt Riddle will be a very interesting opponent for him, as the twos styles could make for a fun.

It would not be a surprise if Balor began life back in NXT looking strong, thus defeating Riddle at WarGames. A victory for Balor could set him off for a wonderful and hopefully compelling second run in NXT.

Pete Dunne vs Damian Priest vs Killian Dain: Number one contender Triple-Threat for NXT Championship match at Survivor Series

Three of NXT’s more underappreciated talents, get the chance to shine at TakeOver. In a real mixture of styles in this triple threat match, this has the potential to create a very unique bout. Having already seen the likes of Pete Dunne and Killian Dain at previous TakeOvers, Damian Priest has the chance to show-off what he is capable of.

Pete Dunne will be a good choice to win here, as he is more than capable of having a classic match for NXT Championship. He is also due a shot at the title and in some cases, a run with the belt.

The Undisputed Era vs Tomasso Ciampa, Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic & mystery partner: WarGames

For a third year in a row, the Undisputed Era will take part in WarGames. They face Keith Lee, Dominik Dijakovic, and a mystery partner, who was initially penned to be Johnny Gargano. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see who the mystery partner is.

Regardless of who may be the mystery partner to Ciampa, Lee, and Dijakoivc, the Undisputed Era win will do them wonders, as they could potentially have an undisputed run off the back of this weekend.

Rhea Ripley, Tegan Nox, Candice LeRae & Mia Yim vs Shayna Baszler,  lo Shirai, Bianca Blair & Kay Lee Ray: WarGames

The most exciting match of the night, is undoubtedly the women’s division of NXT

taking centre stage for WarGames. The match has also had a surprise twist with WWE NXT UK Women’s Champion Kay Lee Ray being pulled into Shayna Baszler’s team. As for Rhea Ripley’s team, will we see a heel turn from Dakota Kai, who was excluded from the team? will she turn on her friend and tag team partner Tegan Nox?

A Dakota Kai heel turn would be predictable but an interesting development. Thus a victory for Team Baszler looks to be on the cards.
