Who Will Win The 2021 Men’s Royal Rumble Match?

wwe-rr-1

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s Royal Rumble season and the road to Wrestlemania begins! The 2021 Royal Rumble is less than two weeks away and still, at this point, there appears to be no clear winner. So let’s have a look at a few competitors who are being touted as the favourites to win the Rumble!

Daniel Bryan

Oh no, please do not do this to us again! Cast your mind back to Royal Rumble 2015, there was no one more over that night than Daniel Bryan. Once he was eliminated from the match, it became very clear that Philadelphia and the entire WWE Universe were not happy.

Heck, even the year before (2014) fans were furious he didn’t even feature in the match, so Bryan and the PPV have a long history. But recently Bryan stated how this will be his final full-time run in the company. So why not provide him with the only accolade his WWE career is missing? it would only make sense.

His popularity continues to soar even in 2021, he is someone who remains to be over with the fans despite being either a face or heel. He’s just that good. Another Wrestlemania main event featuring Bryan would really entice fans for the biggest show of the year, even more so if he wins the big one, just one final time.

Keith Lee

Almost a year ago, Keith Lee made his first Royal Rumble match appearance, in what was one of the most memorable Rumble matches of all time. His face-off with Brock Lesnar was as epic as the fans’ reaction that night.

Since his main roster debut, it is clear to see that officials and even Vince McMahon himself are very high on Lee. Already scoring wins over the likes of Randy Orton a few months ago, the proverbial rocket is being strapped to Lee and within good time his main event push seems only a short distance away.

Lee winning the Rumble match would cap an amazing year for the former NXT Champion. However, one can imagine that should he not win the match, he will have something lined up for him at Wrestlemania.

Big E

Another man with the wind in his sail, Big E is slowly but surely seeing his star rise. Even after his split from New Day, he has been a regular performer on weekly television, even winning the Intercontinental Champion from Sami Zayn.

A man full of charisma has been able to display it by himself, fair to say he took the ball and is running miles with it much to the delight of many.

E winning the Rumble would be the signal of a new star for the company, a prospect which is not too far off. But with him being the current IC champion, is there more to a feud with Sami Zayn that will continue? It will be interesting to see his showing in the match nonetheless.

Edge

Yes, Edge has not officially been announced for the match but his name has been floated around. Out of action since last May, there have been circulating rumours of another Wrestlemania match with Randy Orton this year for some time, even before 2020 was over.

The Rated R superstar made his in-ring return at last year’s Royal Rumble, in what was a moment everyone will . His return was followed with a feud with Randy Orton which was the catalyst in one of Orton’s arguably best runs with the company.

It would not be a surprise to see Edge return to action in this match, if anything it would make sense, but to see him winning it is perhaps unlikely, considering he could be lined-up to finish his long-standing feud with Orton.
