"What Are You Capable Of?" UK Trailer For Chronicle

If I was to be honest I never really heard of this film to about a few days ago when a few American blogs picked up on it releasing a American trailer. When you do film based websites, blogs you see and read about alot of films which frankly probably wouldn’t make it over here to UK or Ireland and you sometimes selfishly ignore but today 20th Century Fox Pictures UK have sent us the UK trailer, its the trailer for Chronicle.

After spending several years of my life as a Graphic Design student I sometimes approach films, products from a design perspective, if they catch my eye I will investigate further, below is the poster and when you look at it, its a dull boring looking.Enough of the poster the interesting part of this films promotion is the trailer an intriguing film which does possess some originality which is a rare commodity these days. After the success of Paranormal Activity franchise many film studios have created in house studios to create the next Paranormal Activity not in the sense of similar film but as in success and creating a film from a micro budget which Chronicle has. Taking 2 sub genres of found footage and Superhero mash it all up and we get Chronicle! It’s not comedy film in the sense of Kick Ass with a found footage style that’s more like Cloverfield than Paranormal Activity giving both genre a refreshing look as well as twist and the films 3 main characters act more like human than super human.

Chronicle is the story of Three high school students make an incredible discovery, leading to their developing uncanny powers beyond their understanding. As they learn to control their abilities and use them to their advantage, their lives start to spin out of control, and their darker sides begin to take over. We don’t have any big names here with Michael Kelly (Dawn Of The Dead, Defendor, Adjustment Bureau) been really the only recognisable face, Dane Dehaan, Alex Russell, Michael b. Jordan also star in a film directed by Josh Trank based on a Max Landis script.
