Jason Isaacs and Maxine Peake in Words Of War

Signature Entertainment have released the UK Trailer for the gripping political thriller Words Of War.

The film stars Jason Isaacs, Ciaran Hinds with James Strong (Mr Bates vs The Post Office) directing. Words Of War tells the story of Russian Journalist and human rights activist Anna Politkovskaya. Set in 1999 at the outbreak of breakaway Russian republic of Chechnya, Anna is a reporter for Novaya Gazeta. Sent not to be a war correspondent but ‘peoples correspondent’  bringing the truth to the Russian people. She learns the brutal truth of the war, as she shares the truth to annoyance of her government.

Highlighting the dangers of journalism, truth is power and no one one should be executed.

Words of War is available on Digital Platforms from 30th June in the UK and Ireland.
