Watch UK Trailer For Franka Potente’s Home

German actress  Franka Potente will always be known for The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy and cult film Run Lola Run, now add directing with Home. Next month Lightbulb Film Distribution will release the film and today we get a look at the film’s UK Trailer.

The film originally made it’s world premiere at 2020 Rome Film Festival. The film stars Jake McLaughlin (Savages) and Kathy Bates (Misery, Richard Jewell). The film tells the story Marvin Hacks (McLaughlin), a 40 year old man who is released from prison after 17 years. He returns home in the same clothes he wore when sent to jail, a small town that hasn’t forgotten the atrocities he committed when he was a younger man. A return that locals make sure Marvin is not welcomed back, causing confrontation and hostility. He will do anything to earn his place back in society including reconciling with his mother (Bates).

Great to see Kathy Bates in basically anything. She is always one of the shinning lights in what she appears in, she looks one of the highlights in Home. This type of drama maybe dime a dozen, however does look one of the better films…

The film also stars Aisling Franciosi, Derek Richardson, James Jordan, Lil Rel Howery, and Stephen Root. Home will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital Platforms from 24th January 2022.
