Mel Gibson stars in family film that looks like a 1990’s Throwback

It is Halloween today, so let’s have a spooky trailer and Monster Summer . Today Signature Entertainment have released the UK Trailer for family horror comedy that is a throwback to the 1990s!

The film stars Lorraine Bracco, Mel Gibson, Mason Thames, Kevin James, Nora Zehetner and Abby James Witherspoon with David Henrie directing.

One could say Monster Summer is a ‘spooky’ coming of age story of teen friends who never want the summer to end. When a mysterious forces start to disrupt the friends holidays they together with a retired cop (Gibson) to save their home.

Horror genre is not all blood, guts and masked killers. The genre can provide the same terrors for a younger audience, Stephen King proves that with some of his books. Throw in the nostalgia of the growing up and a certain decade you open up for all. This film has some star power with Gibson, Kevin James and even Mason Thames from The Black Phone!

Starring Lorraine Bracco (The Sopranos), Mel Gibson (Braveheart), Mason Thames (The Black Phone), Kevin James (Paul Blart: Mall Cop), Nora Zehetner (The Right Stuff) and Abby James Witherspoon (Hot Pursuit), Monster Summer is written by Bryan Schulz & Cornelius Uliano (The Peanuts Movie) and directed by David Henrie (This Is this Year).

Monster Summer will be released by Signature Entertainment from 25th November on Digital Platforms.
