Netflix to release Reboot film Based on Riyoko Ikeda’s masterpiece manga

Later this month Netflix will stream The Rose Of Versailles, now we get a look at the Anime‘s Official Trailer.
This is a reboot of the legendary 1972 shōjo classic by Riyoko Ikeda. The decade also gave us the anime series Lady Oscar: The Rose of Versailles which this film is also an update of.
The Rose Of Versailles is the story of Oscar François de Jarjayes, a beautiful woman who was raised as a boy by a distinguished general. Marie Antoinette who becomes a noble and graceful queen. The story converges in Versailles, , during the prosperous late 18th century, as these characters embrace their destinies with grace and beauty, despite being swept along by the times.
This tale of romance and fate unfolds during the turbulent French Revolution, vividly bringing to life the world of Oscar — a beautiful woman raised as a boy by a distinguished general — and an ensemble of unforgettable characters. Set in the prosperous late 18th century, they embrace their destinies with grace and beauty, despite being swept along by the tides of time.
In an era marked by restrictions, Oscar defies the societal limits of status and gender, choosing her own path and bravely leaping into the French Revolution. Her courageous and beautiful way of life garnered empathy and adoration from many young girls.
The Japanese voice cast Miyuki Sawashiro (Oscar François de Jarjayes), Aya Hirano (Marie Antoinette), Toshiyuki Toyonaga (André Grandier), Kazuki Katō (Hans Axel von Fersen), Shunsuke Takeuchi (Alain de Soissons). Takuya Eguchi (Florian de Gerodelle), Miyu Irino (Bernard Châtelet), Fukushi Ochiai (Louis XVI), and Banjō Ginga (General Jarjayes).
The English voice cast includes Caitlin Glass, Megan Shipman, Karen Strassman, Ryan Colt Levy, Andy Delos Santos, Brandon McInnis, Daman Mills, Talon Warburton, Shelby Young and Greg Whipple.
The Rose Of Versailles will launch on Netflix on 30th April.
