Watch Trailer For 80’s Throwback Martials Arts The Last Kumite

Fans of martial arts action thrillers from the 1980s and 1990s, Altitude Films has a film for you, The Last Kumite. Today we get a look at the bone crushing official Trailer!
The indie throwback thriller is directed by Ross W. Clarkson with fans of Bloodsport and Kickboxer. They even have the original composer of those films Paul Hertzog composing the music for this one. This is a film that got crowdfunded by Clarkson and is his ion project, love for martial arts.
The Last Kumite stars Mathis Landwehr who is Karate champion Michael who wins his final tournament. He is approached to fight once again in the Kumite, illegal tournament against the best. When he’s declines, his daughter is kidnapped forcing Michael to take part.
When Karate champion Michael Rivers (Mathis Landwehr) wins the last tournament of his career, shady businessman Ron Hall (Matthias Hues) offers him the opportunity to fight in an illegal, deadly Kumite in Bulgaria with the world’s best martial artists. Michael declines, only to find out later that his daughter Bree has been kidnapped and that in order to rescue her, he is left with no other option but to fight in the deadly tournament. When he finally gets to Bulgaria, he finds out that he is not the only fighter whose loved one got taken. Now, in order to beat the undefeated Kumite Champion Dracko, Michael trains with Master Loren (Billy Blanks), and Dracko’s former Sensei, Julie Jackson (Cynthia Rothrock). But will it be enough for him to win the tournament and save his daughter’s life?
The rest of the cast includes action legends from those decades, Cynthia Rothrock, Michel Qissi, Matthias Hues, Richard Norton, Kurt McKinney, Billy Blanks, Abdel Qissi, David Yeung, and David Kurzhal. The Last Kumite will be available on Blu-ray, DVD, and UHD/BD Steelbook, as well as digital platforms in the UK and Ireland, from 13th May.
