Watch The Unsettling Shudder Trailer For The Dark And The Wicked

Plunge into the oppressive and genuinely creepy atmospheric horror of The Dark And The Wicked. Today Shudder have released the Official Trailer ahead of it’s premiere on the channel later this month. As you’ll watch the Trailer, it’s truly unsettling as The darkness grows.
The film stars Marin Ireland who plays one of two siblings returning back to their family home to be with their ailing father on his death bed. They come to also help their mother and both quickly see not all is what it seems with their mum. They notice a darkness grows around her and a sense that something evil is taking over.
The Strangers director Bryan Bertino directed this one which made it’s world premiere at last year’s Fantasia Film Festival. Fortunately Our Horror editor Bradley Hadcroft watched this calling “Genuinely creepy, unremittingly absorbing and emphatically frightening flicks like this do not come around that often“.
Very few films genuinely scare , this is one of those rare gems!

On a secluded farm, a man is bedridden and fighting through his final breaths while his wife (Julie Oliver-Touchstone, Preacher) slowly succumbs to overwhelming grief. Siblings Louise (Marin Ireland, Hell or High Water) and Michael (Michael Abbott Jr., The Death of Dick Long) return home to help, but it doesn’t take long for them to see that something’s wrong with mom—something more than her heavy sorrow. Gradually, they begin to suffer a darkness similar to their mother’s, marked by waking nightmares and a growing sense that an evil entity is taking over their family. Directed by Bryan Bertino (The Strangers).
The film co-stars Michael Abbott Jr., Xander Berkeley, Lynn Andrews, Julie Oliver-Touchstone, and Tom Nowicki.
The Dark And The Wicked will be exclusively streamed via Shudder including the UK and Ireland from 25th February.
