Watch The UK Trailer For Stephen King’s The Stand Mini Series

After months of speculation on when and who will air the updated adaptation of Stephen King’s The Stand Mini-Series in the UK and Ireland, today we find out. Starzplay have announced they will be showing the series based on King’s popular post apocalyptic story. We won’t have to wait long, first episode is coming in 4 weeks time and to promote the series we have an UK version of the Trailer for your viewing pleasure.

Alexander Skarsgård plays Randall Flagg with Whoopi Goldberg playing Mother Abigail whom mankind lays heavy on her frail shoulders. As the world is decimated by an pandemic that’s intertwined in a battle of good versus evil. Few Survivors live in Boulder Free Zone, but Flagg with dark powers wants to destroy us all.

It’s ironic our current climate is still decimated by an pandemic. Comparing both versions of the series, the new version does look more action focused, as ever great cast. Don’t fear the reaper watch the trailer below…

“The Stand” is Stephen King’s apocalyptic vision of a world decimated by plague and embroiled in an elemental struggle between good and evil. The fate of mankind rests on the frail shoulders of the 108-year-old Mother Abagail (Whoopi Goldberg) and a handful of survivors. Their worst nightmares are embodied in a man with a lethal smile and unspeakable powers: Randall Flagg (Alexander Skarsgård), the Dark Man. “The Stand” will close with a new coda written by the famed author himself for this current adaptation.
