Watch The UK Trailer For Robin Campillo’s 120 BPM (Beats Per Minute)

Robin Campillo’s 120 BPM (Beats Per Minute) has been storming Film Festivals worldwide with great critical appraise. Last week it made its final stop at Glasgow Film Festival and now is now ready for a cinematic release.
Curzon Artifical Eye Film has sent us the UK Trailer for the 2017 Cannes Film Festival Grand Prix winner. A heartbreaking, powerful story of ACT-UP the French activist group who fought Pharma greed and government dision. This was 1990’s and the AID/HIV Epidemic had kicked-off, a story that was personal to Campillo. One of romance, one of joy and one of heartache.
This may focus on one particular LGBT group but it is a film that should inspire everyone. Anyone ready to take on the establishment and that people power can succeed on the day.
A beautiful, stirring call to action about the AIDS epidemic of the 80s and early 90s, it follows a new romance within a chapter of ACT-UP Paris, the activist group going to battle for those stricken with HIV/AIDS taking on major Pharma companies and the lacklustre government response with bold, invasive protests – embracing their mission with literal life or death urgency. Amid rallies, protests, fierce debates and ecstatic dance parties, the newcomer Nathan falls in love with Sean, the group’s radical firebrand, and their ion sparks against the shadow of mortality as the activists fight for a breakthrough.
