“Where Am I?” that is the question actress Jodie Comer asks in the First UK Teaser Trailer for Dystopian survival drama The End We Start From.

Signature Entertainment will be releasing the film exclusively in the UK starring Killing Eve star Jodie Comer. The new Teaser is under one minute long, there’s enough emotion that will pull on your heart strings. Not just about the dangers of the flooding but the sentiments of motherhood.

The film is directed by Mahalia Belo (The Long Song) from a script written by Alice Birch (Succession, Normal People) based on Megan Hunter’s acclaimed 2017 novel. The film follows a young family who live London, a city submerged in floods. The baby is a newborn and with the dangers of the rising waters, the novelty of being a mother are pushed to the top of the list for the mother.

The trailer really plays the two sides well, Comer‘s character quickly learns her priorities are her child. Great cast for a film that actually looks like the environmental theme is secondary compared to the themes of Motherhood…

When an environmental crisis sees London submerged by flood waters, a young family is torn apart in the chaos. As a woman and her newborn try and find their way home, the profound novelty of motherhood is brought into sharp focus in this intimate and poetic portrayal of family survival.

The film also stars Joel Fry, Katherine Waterston, Gina McKee, Nina Sosanya, Mark Strong, and Benedict Cumberbatch.
