Nicolas Pesce‘s Eyes Of My Mother was a superb anarchic arthouse horror left us wanting more from him. The follow up in 2018 played the festival circuit and now Piercing is ready to receive its official release.
The film is described as a sly and stylish urban psycho-thriller, based on the novel by the Japanese horror scribe Ryû Murakami (Audition) who co-wrote the script too. Starring Christopher Abbott (First Man) and Mia Wasikowska with Antonio Campos (Afterschool) producing alongside Sean Durkin (Martha, Marcy, May Marlene).
The psychosexual thriller is we meet Reed (Abbott), a new father who needs to purge his urges of ‘fatherhood by killing. When his plans don’t go to plan he encounters Jackie (Wasokowska) an escort who has her own sadistic plans.

Stylish, Giallo gore, layers of black comedy, lashings of De Palma Neo-Noir lushness. They even have legendary Italians composers Ennio Morricone and Claudio Simonetti delivering a score.
Words can say many things, but actually watching the film yourself you’ll adore what’s on offer. Vertigo Releasing have the film’s UK Rights and today have released the UK Trailer along with a New Poster with a Big Quote from a certain website…The Peoples Movies!

A new father decides to ease his parental stress by killing an anonymous prostitute. He books into a hotel and awaits his victim, but when the women he’s hired says she is running late, the flaky escort he chooses instead might have other ideas for the ice pick he has brought along to dispatch her with.
The film also stars Olivia Bond, Laia Costa, Maria Dizza,Martin Ireland, and Wendell Pierce.
Piercing will get a limited UK & Irish cinemas release on 15th February with the Digital HD also available the same day.If your in the U.S, it’s tomorrow 1st February.
