Watch The Intense UK Trailer For The Hate U Give

Police brutality and Race Relations the past few years have been at their worst ever especially in the USA. Many Black men and women have found themselves targets of the Police, every day we hear about another attack. The Hate U Give is a timely film that will showcase one of those stories through the eyes of one young girl.
Amandla Stenberg is Starr Carter a young black girl trapped between to worlds. A Poor mostly black neighbourhood and a rich mostly white school she attends. Those worlds are shattered when her childhood friend is killed by the police in front of her. Fruitvale Station is another similar true story to The Hate U Give, stories that must be told.
The past few years The Black Lives Matter has risen from the ongoing Police brutality and this story gave her as well as her community a voice. This story may be based in the States but its core subject resonates worldwide including the UK.
The film is a highly anticipated adaptation of Angie Thomas’ critically acclaimed New York Times bestseller. Twentieth Century Fox today has released the UK trailer and will probably be the most intense, heartbreaking Trailer you’ll watch today…
Starr Carter is constantly switching between two worlds: the poor, mostly black, the neighbourhood where she lives and the rich, mostly white, prep school she attends. Now, facing pressures from all sides of the community, Starr must find her voice and stand up for what’s right.
The film stars Amandla Stenberg, Regina Hall, Russell Hornsby, Lamar Johnson, Issa Rae, Algee Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, with Common and Anthony Mackie.
