Watch The Gore-tastic UK Trailer For The Furies

(Now updated with UK Trailer, thanks Signature Entertainment)
There used to be a time Australian Ozploitation ruled the roost. Tony D’Aquino‘s The Furies is certainly capturing the 1970’s with this one and now we have a new Trailer.
The elaborate and gory Aussie slasher is heading to Arrow Video FrightFest. Frightfesters are in for a bloody treat as 8 women find themselves pit against 8 lunatics. The women find themselves in an unwanted deadly game of staying alive, but why them?
Inspired by alot from old Ozploitation films but also slasher classics from the 1070’s and 1980’s. Such as Halloween, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th, The Burning. What we do love about this one is director D’Aquino uses practical effects than just CGI. Giving the film what he called “messy and visceral.”
Rebellious high school students Kayla and her best friend Maddie are abducted by a sinister presence while out bombing their neighbourhood with graffiti. Waking up in a forest, bound and disoriented in a coffin-like apparatus, it becomes clear a masked man with an axe is hellbent on pursuing her to the death. But she’s not alone. There are six more victims each assigned a maniac stalker and implanted with retinal cameras so every moment of terror is recorded. However Kayla’s killer instinct is now unleashed and she does whatever it takes to survive and seek bloody revenge on her kidnappers.
The film stars Airlie Dodds, Linda Ngo, Taylor Ferguson, Ebony Vagulans.
The Furies will premiere at Arrow Video FrightFest on 25th August (tickets if available can be purchased here). If you can’t attend, Signature Entertainment will release the film part of the ‘FrightFest Presents‘ on Digital HD format 16th September. 7th November if your in Australia.
