Watch The ‘Demented’ UK Trailer For Horror Street Trash

When it comes to remakes it’s usually the big films we hear about. A ‘cult horror’ has been remade, Street Trash, today we get a look at the ‘demented’ UK Trailer.
The original (1987) splatterfest was directed by none other than John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing). This time South African filmmaker Ryan Kruger (Fried Barry) has directed this which is really a reimaging than a remake. Now taking place in Cape Town with a focus on the division between the rich and poor has drastically changed (worldwide in general).
Street Trash is a horror comedy set in the near future. We are in the middle of a global economic which has destroyed the middle class widening the gap with the Ultra-rich. When a group of homeless misfits learn about a plot to ‘wash away’ the homeless population, they take matter into their own hands.
It’s terrifying to see a film made nearly 40 years ago the class division resonates. Kruger shown in Fried Barry he doesn’t hold back on anything, this oozes with gory fun we expect. Will this be enjoyed by the original and a new generation of fans? Yes and to be more authentic it has been filmed in 35mm!
