Face your demons and watch the official Teaser Trailer for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf. The anime . Netflix debuted the first promo for The Witcher  spin-off with Henry Cavill’s Geralt’s mentor Vesemir.

Next to the new teaser Netflix have also revealed the main voice cast for the anime film. Our lead character Vesemir is voiced by Theo James, Lara Pulver voices Tetra. Along with them are Graham McTavish as Deglan and Mary McDonnell as Lady Zerbst.

For someone who is a fan of The Lord Of The Rings and The Game Of Thrones, I couldn’t connect to The Witcher. With a second season in the works, other spin-offs it shows there is a popularity with the franchise as fans will tell you in many other medias.

What we know from this film Vesemir is a younger Witcher who likes his coins and uses them for some monster hunting. With an opening scene dialogue/scroll saying “Witches are rogues without virtue, true diabolical creations, for only killing. There is no place amidst honest men for them…” it’s a perfect world for our hero.

The world of The Witcher expands in this anime origin story: Before Geralt, there was his mentor Vesemir — a swashbuckling young witcher who escaped a life of poverty to slay monsters for coin. But when a strange new monster begins terrorizing a politically-fraught kingdom, Vesemir finds himself on a frightening adventure that forces him to confront the demons of his past.

The film is written and produced by Beau DeMayo and co-produced by ‘The Witcher’ Showrunner and Executive Producer Lauren Schmidt Hissrich and Studio Mir’s Kwang Il Han who is also directing.

The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf premieres worldwide on  23rd August.
