Watch Emotional Trailer For Flora And Son Starring Eve Hewson

Never underestimate a Dublin woman with a guitar. Starring Even Hewson (daughter of Bono), Apple have released the official Trailer for Flora And Son.

The film also stars Joseph Gordon Levitt, Orén Kinlan, Jack Reynor, and Amy Huberman. John Carney directs and he is no stranger to dramatic music based films (Sing Street, Once).

Hewson stars in this one as a single mum who is at odds with her rebellious teenage son. Encouraged to take up a hobby, that route comes in shape of an old guitar and a washed up musician (Gordon-Levitt).

Played well at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year, there’s hope this will be as uplifting as Carney’s previous films…

Single mom Flora (Eve Hewson) is at a loss about what to do with her rebellious teenage son, Max (Orén Kinlan). Encouraged by the police to find Max a hobby, Flora tries to occupy him with a beat-up acoustic guitar. With the help of a washed-up LA musician (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Flora and Max discover the transformative power of music. From the musical mind of John Carney, “Flora and Son” explores the bond between a mother and son on a journey toward a new harmony.

“Flora and Son” is directed by John Carney. The film is produced by John Carney along with Anthony Bregman, Peter Cron, Rebecca O’Flanagan and Robert Walpole. Cathleen Dare, Milan Popelka and Alison Cohen are executive producing.

Flora And Son will be in select UK and Irish cinemas from 22nd September, ahead of its global premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, 29th September.
