The world needs Warwick Davis, 35 years after he last played the role he returns to Willow. Disney+ reveal the official first Trailer for the series based on the classic 1988 series and they need his magic once again.

Davis once again returns as Willow Ufgood and his world needs him. He must help in dangerous quest that sees him help a princess and a group of warriors free her twin brother. Is her brother the one who’ll reunite the world once again? Willow must face his inner demons as well as save the world.

Like any film or show considered a ‘cult classic’ can the follow up replicate the magic? This series is apparently 200 years after the film, here’s hoping the series proves we need that show.

An epic period fantasy series with a modern sensibility set in an enchanted land of breathtaking beauty, “Willow” features a diverse international cast with Jonathan Kasdan, Ron Howard, Wendy Mericle, Kathleen Kennedy, and Michelle Rejwan serving as executive producers. The story began with an aspiring magician from a Nelwyn village and an infant girl destined to unite the realms, who together helped destroy an evil queen and banish the forces of darkness. Now, in a magical world where brownies, sorcerers, trolls, and other mystical creatures flourish, the adventure continues, as an unlikely group of heroes set off on a dangerous quest to places far beyond their home, where they must face their inner demons and come together to save their world.

Next to Davis, the rest of the cast will include Erin Kellyman, Ellie Bamber, Tony Revolori, Ruby Cruz, Amer Chadha-Patel, and Dempsey Bryk.

Willow Season One will launch in the Autumn, with the first episode coming 30th November.
