Transformers

Paramount Pictures have production for Transformers 7 has officially started. They also unveiled the official title for that film …Transformers: Rise of the Beasts.

The details were revealed during a virtual event which included the films director Steve Caple Jr. (Creed 2) and producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura. They were also ed by the film’s leading actors Anthony Ramos (In The Heights) and Dominique Fishback (Judas And The Black Messiah).

Here’s the Official Title card and below that is the logline details Paramount Pictures sent us…

Returning to the action and spectacle that first captured moviegoers around the world 14 years ago with the original Transformers, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts will take audiences on a ‘90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons. Directed by Steven Caple Jr. and starring Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback, the film arrives in cinemas Summer 2022.

The above logline doesn’t actually reveal any details of the storyline. It does however reveal some juicy details  about the film. The film will be set in the 1990’s possibly 1994 which means it’s set between  Transformers spin-off Bumblebee (1987) and the Michael Bay Transformer films (2000’s). If you know the world of Transformers you know it’s not all about the  Autobots and Decepticons.

The film’s title Rise Of The Beasts which means the other bot factions Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons. Predacons. The new ‘terror’ the Terrorcons which we believe will be films  lead villains.  The film looks like it’s diving into the ‘Beast Wars’ storyline  which all about the descendants of the bots. Optimus Prime will be in this film with Peter Cullen expected to voice Prime once again and we’ll assume he’ll be ed by Bumblebee.  This film apparently  might be a continuation of Bumblebee  which was set seven years previously.  Instead of one location the new film will be  more global.

Will Michael Bay be involved? Yes he will be onboard with Steven Spielberg as a producer.  What direction Caple Jr. will take we don’t know at this stage. Many cinephile maybe asking “why flog a dead horse?”, in Paramount‘s eyes it’s not. When the film franchise has earned billions at the box office over 20 years  and many parts of the Transformers world still to be explored, its a cash horse!
