Time Is An Illusion In Synchronic UK Trailer

If you been following The Peoples Movies for a long time you’ll know we’re big fans of Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead. From Resolution, The Endless and now Synchronic and today Signature Entertainment unveil the film’s UK Trailer.

Starring Jamie Dornan and Anthony Mackie and time is an illusion as Benson and Moorhead play with our minds once again. Instead of the usual Lovecraftian horror tropes the pair like to work in, this one is more an sci-fi thriller.

We caught this one at this year’s Glasgow Film Festival with both directors in attendance and this is an  solid innovative addition to the sci-fi genre. Whilst still essentially independent, it’s probably their biggest film to date with it’s leading two proof of that.

Dornan and Mackie play a couple of paramedics whose lives are torn apart thanks to a new designer drug that could be responsible for the recent bizarre series of deaths. One of the paramedics stumbles on the drug’s truth which may help him to find the other one’s missing daughter.

This is ambitious on many levels and beats those mainstream efforts hands down…

From breakout genre filmmakers Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (The Endless) SYNCHRONIC is a mind-bending, haunting sci-fi starring two of Hollywood’s biggest actors Jamie Dornan (The Fall, Fifty Shades of Grey franchise) and Anthony Mackie (The Avengers franchise, Detroit) as two New Orleans paramedics who encounter a series of horrific deaths linked to a designer drug.

Blending mind-bending thrills with relatable emotional turmoil, SYNCHRONIC has been described as “an eccentric and imaginative piece of genre cinema”.

The film also stars Katie Aselton, Ally Ioannides, Natasha Tina Liu, and Martin Bats Bradford.

Synchronic will be released in the UK and Ireland in cinemas and Digital format from 29th January. 2021.
