Things Get Nostalgic For Retro Gaming In 8-Bit Christmas Trailer

Every generation have had their list of must haves to be cool Christmas presents. As parents will know those presents are overly expensive, like the latest video gaming system and in the 1980’s if it wasn’t Sega it was Nintendo. Tonight Warner Bros release the Official Trailer for 8-Bit Christmas When Neil Patrick Harris all he wants is that games system.
When it comes to kids these days those wants a bigger and even more expensive. Michael Dowse directs this family film that takes us back to the decade where a NES was the must have games system, the 1980s The film is also shown in modern day time when Jake Doyle (Harris) trying to show off to his daughter how cool he is, she doesn’t truly believe him.
Lots of nostalgia going on here. I’m in my mid 40 so 1980s I was a kid, personally I was more a Sega Megadrive than NES. This film ticks many of the Christmas film boxes and much more
From New Line Cinema and HBO Max comes “8-Bit Christmas,” a humorous and heartfelt l fook back at the adventures of childhood. Set in suburban Chicago in the late 1980s, the story centers on ten-year-old Jake Doyle’s herculean quest to get the latest and greatest video game system for Christmas.
The film stars Winslow Fegley, June Diane Raphael, David Cross, Steve Zahn, Sophia Reid-Gantzert, Cyrus Arnold, Jacob Laval, and David MacInnis.
8-Bit Christmas will be released in the UK and Ireland on Digital from 26th November. If you live in the U.S the film will be released on HBO Max on 24th November.
