Things Get Creepy and Kooky in New ‘Clown In A Cornfield’ Trailer

Sinister clown grabs a girl's face so she can't scream

In the quiet little town of Kettle Springs, things are about to get bloody. Shudder has just released the first trailer for Clown In A Cornfield, inviting viewers to ‘Meet Frendo’, the titular killer clown.

The synopsis is described as

Clown In A Cornfield followsQuinn (Katie Douglas) and her father (Aaron Abrams), who have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs hoping for a fresh start. Instead, she discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times after the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down. As the locals bicker amongst themselves and tensions boil over, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs. The real fun starts when Frendo the clown comes out to play.

The film is based on the Bram Stoker Award-Winning horror novel by Adam Cesare. The young adult novel, which mixes horror, comedy and throwbacks to slashers of the 80’s and 90’s, is being brought to the big screen by director Eli Craig. Craig is best known for the cult horror comedy Tucker & Dale vs. Evil. Craig has also co-written the script alongside writer Carter Blanchard.
