They always say behind every man there’s a strong woman and they are usually the ones who clean up the mess the men make. In Steve McQueen‘s Widows, Four ladies in question have a settle to score, plotting a heist.

Five years after the last McQueen film (12 Years A Slave) the British filmmaker returns to big screen as four women (lead by Viola Davis)attempt pay the debt of their dead husbands. Most of all take their own fate into their own hands.

This looks a departure from the McQueen’s usual style, however, he wanted to make a modern-day gangster thriller. Now he has and what we’re seeing we’re rather excited about this! The first trailer introduced all the main players in the film, this new UK trailer dives a little deeper into the story. We do also find more details about the heist itself, so can this hold itself during the awards season?
