In November we will all get weird when Roku Channel releases Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.

Right up until now we have had no word when exactly when film about parodist Al Yankovic was being released. Now that the film made its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (winning the Midnight Madness People’s Choice Award). What better time announce the release date on Roku Channel.

Daniel Radcliffe is Al Yankovic with the man himself producing along with written the script. Yankovic made his name for song parodies of some of music world’s great tunes. Queen (Another One Rides the bus), Madonna (Like A Surgeon), Michael Jackson, Devo, Nirvana to name a few.

We’re promised this film will showcase his meteoric rise to fame. From his early hits to award winning era. Promising “torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle“!

We all know not every celeb, musician or even actor story suits the big screen. This is when streaming channels can play their part giving those films a platform. This looks nuts, we expect nothing less from Mr Yankovic.

The Roku Original film will star Daniel Radcliffe in the titular role of “Weird Al” Yankovic. The biopic holds nothing back, exploring every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like “Eat It” and “Like a Surgeon” to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story takes audiences on a truly unbelievable journey through Yankovic’s life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.

The film also stars Julianne Nicholson, Rainn Wilson, Toby Huss, with Evan Rachel Wood, and James Preston Rogers.

Weird: The  Al Yankovic Story will launch in the UK and Ireland on Roku Channel from 4th November.
