The King Is Alive In New The Lion King Remake Trailer

100 days now until the circle of life comes alive on the big screen. Disney has released a new second Trailer for the The Lion King. The new trailer gives us the best look at Simba and those classic characters from the original animation.
Going in line with Disney’s current live adaptations of their classic animations can you really call this ‘live action’? No but that’s no negative towards the film as this is photo-realistic CGI, impressive stuff. Dumbo is currently in cinemas and cinephiles are loving it more than some critics, great chance this one will be more will do better.
Is this 2019 version could we be looking at a darker version? Potentially yes. We see Simba with Nala, his father Mufasa, nefarious uncle Scar and not forgetting Pumbaa, Timon. Hows the checklist going? ticking many of the boxes? Off course you are! Hakuna Matata!

Disney’s The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
The all-star cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa and Billy Eichner as Timon.
Disney’s The Lion King roars into UK and Irish cinemas on the 19th July 2019.
