The Kids Are Out To ‘Play’ In Piranhas UK Trailer

Growing up comes in many shapes and forms for all of us, In Piranhas the mafia are getting younger. Claudio Giovannesi‘s Italian mafia drama thriller, the grown ups are in jail now the kids come to play.
The film originally made it’s world premiere at 2019 Berlin Film Festival, winning The Silver Bear award (for best screen play). The film is entitled La paranza dei bambini in it’s native Italian, Piranhas we find ourselves in Naples Italy. A part of the city controlled by the Camora,Nicola (sco Di Napoli)a young boy dreaming of a life as a fashion designer. With many of the local mafia now behind bars, Nicola sees an opportunity with his young friends to take control of the streets. On their bikes with AK-47 they take their first steps into the violent, power-hungry world of crime.
Combining Mafia crime drama with coming of age story, based on Roberto Saviano‘s novel The Piranhas: The Boy Bosses of Naples. Saviano has written a number of books on the areas mafia with Gomorrah his most notable. The young cast are all first time actors that give the film an edge of innocence. Opportunists loosing sight blinded an opportunity to good to be true.

A brutal and stylish mafia thriller based on the book by Roberto Saviano (GOMORRAH).
