Below is the American Trailer for Roman Polanski’s THE GHOST WRITER. I have to say this looks rather good like an old style mystery thriller which we seem to lack a bit on our cinema screens. This looks full of tense moments tied up with alot of suspense and with a great cast who do look like they will give us a solid powerful performances.

The movie stars Ewan McGregor as the ghost writer who is asked to write the memoirs of former British Prime Minster Adam Lang (Peirce Bronson). The exPM political career has been full of controversy and accusations of War Crimes and as things tread along the Ghost Writer starts to unravel information that could destroy the government as well as jepordising his own life. As well as Ewan and Peirce, Olivia Williams, Kim Cattrall, Tom Wilkinson, Timothy Hutton and James Belushi also star.

Whatever you think of Roman Polanski‘s private life, Polanski has directed a very solid strong movie and what could be one of the best movies of 2010. The movie is due to have a limited release in USA in 3 weeks time on February 19th but at this moment there is no UK or Irish release date yet, I dont even know if there’s even a UK distributor yet.
