The Darkness Grows In The Dark And The Wicked Trailer

The Strangers director Bryan Bertino has a new nightmare coming, The Darkness And The Wicked. RJLE Films have released the film’s Trailer and a darkness grows, what evil wants to take you over?
The film was originally mean’t to be making it’s world premiere at Tribeca Film Festival. Sadly like many things it got cancelled thanks to Covid-19, tomorrow the honours go to Fantasia Film Festival.
This film we see two siblings return back to their family home with their ailing father on his death bed, to help their mother. When his comes, the pair quickly see not all is what it seems with their mum. They notice a darkness grows around her and a sense that something evil is taking over.
On a secluded farm, a man is slowly dying. Bedridden and fighting through his final breaths, his wife is slowly succumbing to overwhelming grief. To help their mother and say goodbye to their father, siblings Louise (Marin Ireland) and Michael (Michael Abbott Jr.) return to their family farm. It doesn’t take long for them to see that something’s wrong with mom, though—something more than her heavy sorrow. Gradually, as their own grief mounts, Louise and Michael begin suffering from a darkness similar to their mother’s, marked by waking nightmares and a growing sense that something evil is taking over their family.
The film stars Marin Ireland (The Miseducation of Cameron Post), Michael Abbott Jr. (The Death of Dick Long), and Xander Berkeley (The Walking Dead).
The Dark And The Wicked will be released in the US on 6th November on Digital HD. There’s no UK release date, I would not be surprised if this one will play at Frightfest Halloween ?
