Sydney Sweeney stars (and produces) in this indie horror directed by Michael Mohan (The Voyeurs). Religion, especially Nuns in horror are a match made in heaven or should I say hell. The Nun II, The Exorcist, The First Omen all delve into the darkest parts of our souls. Pregnancy also seems a big part of these films, Sweeney is now the latest woman in habit ready to unearth the answers.
She plays Cecilia, an American nun whose devout faith put to the test by evil itself. She heads to a remote convent in the Italian countryside, and after her warn welcome things take a drastic turn. That the small town where she resides might have dark secrets, she miraculously becomes pregnant.

Sydney Sweeney (Anyone But You, Euphoria, The White Lotus) stars as Cecilia, an American nun of devout faith, embarking on a new journey in a remote convent in the picturesque Italian countryside. Cecilia’s warm welcome quickly devolves into a nightmare as it becomes clear her new home harbours a sinister secret and unspeakable horrors.
The film also stars Álvaro Morte, Benedetta Porcaroli, Dora Romano, Giorgio Colangeli, and Simona Tabasco. Immaculate will be released by Black Bear in the UK and Ireland from 22nd March.
