Earlier this month we posted the Trailer for short film from Four8 Films, I Am Mary. That was then and now for Sunday Short Theatre you can enjoy that short film in it’s full glory.
With Christmas only a few days away what better time to showcase this film. I Am Mary is part of Four8’s trilogy with I Am Pilate and I Am Joseph the other 2 films. All reintroducing biblical characters with latest covering the story of ‘Mary mother of Jesus’. Promising to provide stories with big human connections in a modern setting with Black actors in the leading roles. A promise to promote Black British actors and diverse talent
The story centres on the arrival of a mysterious stranger compels a protective mother to confront the demons of a distant past, and embrace the opportunity for a hopeful future.

An emotionally gripping tale for Christmas, at times shocking, at times tender and intimate, I AM MARY follows the arrival of a mysterious stranger at the house of a mother who has fled a hostile regime and is now living in exile with her young son. This dramatic but ultimately uplifting encounter gives her the chance to heal the wounds of a traumatic past and to accept the destiny that she and her son must face – to bring hope to a troubled world.
