Squid Game season 3 debuts new trailer and images ahead of June release date

On your marks, get set, die horribly! Netflix smash Squid Game is back this summer to mine more gore and philosophical quandaries from pop culture’s deadliest game show.
Season 3 of the critically acclaimed South Korean phenomenon arrives in June, and there’s a brand new teaser trailer and images to get the juices flowing. In the words of the official synopsis: ‘Picking up from Season 2’s devastating cliffhanger, Season 3 thrusts Gi-hun (Player 456) back into the brutal heart of the games, determined to dismantle them once and for all.
‘Still haunted by the betrayal and loss of his closest ally, Jung-bae (Player 390), Gi-hun faces new perils — including the Front Man, who shockingly infiltrated their rebellion disguised as Player 001.’
The stacked cast includes Lee Jung-jae as Gi-Hun, plus Lee Byung-hun, Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Wi Ha-jun, Park Gyu-young, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Jo Yu-ri, Chae Kuk-hee, Lee David, Roh Jae-won, and Jun Suk-ho, with a special appearance by Park Hee-soon.
The director is the series regular Hwang Dong-hyuk, the first Asian filmmaker to win Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.
Lest we forget, Season 2 obliterated Netflix records. It amassed the most views for a show in its premiere week and entered the Most Popular Non-English TV list in just three days—currently ranked #2 with 192.6 million views, second only to Season 1’s 265.2 million.
Listed as the third most-watched season on Netflix ever, season 2 sets a high benchmark for season 3.
Squid Game: Season 3 streams on Netflix from June 27th.
