Spock Arrives! In First Trailer For Star Trek Discovery Season 2

This coming January Star Trek: Discovery will be hoping we’ll be beaming back onto Netflix when Season 2 arrives giving Starfleet promise. A new Showrunner, new characters and the introduction of some classics Star Trek Characters!
Yesterday at New York Comic-Con, the series executive producer Alex Kurtzman revealed that the highly anticipated second season of the series will launch Friday, 18th January 2019, exclusively on Netflix outside of the United States & Canada.
During the with cast and executive producers at Madison Square Garden, the official season two New York Comic-Con trailer debuted, and fans were given a first look at a young bearded Spock, played by Ethan Peck; Number One, played by Rebecca Romijn; and Section 31’s newest recruit, Philippa Georgiou, played by Michelle Yeoh.
There could only be one character who could span all generations of the iconic sci-fi series and that’s Spock. His life has been illustrious, mysterious and is the bond that will hopefully connect fans of the new and original series. Talking of mystery what is the Red Angel we see in this promo? Both Spock and his half-sister Michael Burnham see this vision, some gossip online says it could be the returning of another iconic Trek villain? There’s possibly 7 signals that the USS Discovery may go after, hinting on this season’s potential plot.
Talking of iconic franchise characters, we do get a good look at Captain Pike and his Number One (Anson Mount and Rebecca Romijn). We also get to see more of Michelle Yeoh’s evil Mirror Universe version of Philippa Georgiou. If you weren’t convinced about season one Klingons, traditionalist will be happy the old school Klingon returns, Qapla’!
The series will star Doug Jones, Shazard Latif, Mary Wiseman, Anthony Rapp, Wilson Cruz, Mary Chieffo.
Star Trek: Discovery 13-episode second season will be available on-demand weekly on Fridays, exclusively for Netflix subscribers outside of the USA. The first episode will launch on 18th January 2019.
