Solo: A Star Wars Story Featurette Expands Han Solo’s World

Are you like us, did Star Wars: The Last Jedi leave an unpleasant taste in your mouth (or a nice one for some)? Later this month the potential solution Solo: A Star Wars Story to cleanse your palette will be released.

Today Lucasfilm has released a brand new Featurette called ‘Becoming Solo‘. The new promo is fairly standard in regards to the whole set up. Director Ron Howard talking about the film as we watch the new footage, showing the early days of how Hans Solo becomes the character we go onto to love.

With the decisiveness tone that’s dragging its heels down on Last Jedi, there’s hope this spin-off Star Wars film can be a standalone film. The franchise needs it a little at the moment rather than a film we must watch because it’s a ‘Star Wars film’. We want a film that expands the franchise universe in quality rather than quantity. The long-running problems and issues the film faced do concern some if it delivers that’s all that matters.

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in Solo: A Star Wars Story, an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep within a dark and dangerous criminal underworld, Han Solo befriends his mighty future copilot Chewbacca and meets the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, in a journey that will set the course of one of the Star Wars saga’s most unlikely heroes.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will be released in UK and Irish Cinemas from 24th May. The film stars Alden Ehrenreich, Thandie Newton, Paul Bettany, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Joonas Suotamo, and Paul Bettany.
