‘Soccer Mums’ Love Gerard Butler’s Ball Skills In Playing For Keeps Trailer

Gerard Butler and me as you know have a lot in common both from Paisley, Scotland, went to same school, we love football and we’re fans of the world famous Glasgow Celtic FC. When it comes to Butler’s film choices he is a very indecisive shall it be action? or Romantic Comedies? or something in between? Tonight it’s the romantic comedy as he woes the soccer Mums with his silky ball skills and trying to win the heart of Jessica Biel in the first trailer for Playing For Keeps.

Butler plays a ex-football player, single dad who had all the fortune and fame who ends up becoming the coach of his son’s football team becoming the star attraction for all the town’s women. This is one for the ladies who want to drool over Mr Butler and as this rom com has a sporting theme I’m sure they’ll be a few shirtless shots of the actor which will make some of the female viewers weak at the knees. The trailer is a spoiler giving away virtually all the story but then again this is a Rom-Com and if your like me you’ve seen this storyline a thousand times but if your a fan of the genre you don’t really care.

Ironic thing is this is a rom com which there trying to aim more towards families but it has a great line which Butler does to boost the morale of the team “Let’s get these wankers!”, which I’ll it is funny especially as his on screen son copies him! Playing For Keeps  won’t be out in UK&Ireland until February 1st 2013 with US release a little closer on December 7th. The film also stars Dennis Quaid, Catherine Zeta , Uma Thurman and Judy Greer with Gabriele Muccino (The Pursuit of Happyness) directing.

A charming, down-on-his luck former soccer star returns home to put his life back together. Looking for a way to rebuild his relationship with his son, he gets roped into coaching the boy’s soccer team. But his attempts to finally become an “adult” are met with hilarious challenges from the attractive “soccer moms” who pursue him at every turn
