Todd Phillips has recently opened many eyes with news that The Joker Part 2 might be a musical starring Lady Gaga. mixed genre films are not unusual and Republic Film Distribution will be releasing musical heist The Score. Today we get a look at the UK Trailer that teases a sing song and robbing!

The film marks the directorial feature debut for Malachi Smyth starring Will Poulter, Naomi Mackie and Johnny Flynn. Two small time crooks (Poulter and Flynn) meet a secluded café to discuss an heist. However at that place one of them gets to know the waitress (Ackie) more due to the pair sharing a coming like for music.

Starring Johnny Flynn (STARDUST, BEAST), Will Poulter (MIDSOMMAR, DETROIT), Naomi Ackie (STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKY WALKER, LADY MACBETH) and Lydia Wilson (STAR TREK BEYOND, ABOUT TIME). THE SCORE combines Smyth’s unique script with songs written and performed by Johnny Flynn alongside other cast , (as new recordings for the film), making for a bold and refreshing watch set to intrigue arthouse film, crime thriller and Flynn fans alike.

Two small-time crooks, Mike (Flynn) and Troy (Poulter), are on a mission – the ‘score’ – that they both expect will transform their circumstances. At a roadside café, as they wait for a rendezvous hand-over, Troy falls in love with the waitress, Gloria (Ackie), and begins to question his life choices… while the threat of real danger is driving to meet them.

The film also stars Lydia Wilson, Roger Ashton-Griffiths, and Lucian Msamati. The Score will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 9th September.
