Shawn Mendes Is ‘Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile’ Watch First UK Trailer

One little discovery, one giant adventure! Sony Pictures have released the official first UK Teaser Trailer for family movie Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile.
This live action/CGI hybrid movie is based on the best selling books of the same name written by Bernard Waber. A musical comedy starring Shawn Mendes as the voice of our titular character, along side Constance Wu and Javier Bardem. Mendes is also performing the original songs written by award winning duo Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
In this mis-adventure the Primm family moves to New York. There son struggles with the new place and adapting to new life and making friends. That all changes when a bath loving, caviar eating crocodile called Lyle living in his attic. Both become friends quickly, however he must convince his family he’s a worthy addition to the family!
This one is for the family, a little bit bonkers, absurd with a big slice of fun…
Based on the best-selling book series by Bernard Waber, Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile is a live-action/CGI musical comedy that brings this beloved character to a new, global audience.
When the Primm family (Constance Wu, Scoot McNairy, Winslow Fegley) moves to New York City, their young son Josh struggles to adapt to his new school and new friends. All of that changes when he discovers Lyle – a singing crocodile (Shawn Mendes) who loves baths, caviar and great music – living in the attic of his new home. The two become fast friends, but when Lyle’s existence is threatened by evil neighbour Mr. Grumps (Brett Gelman), the Primm’s must band together with Lyle’s charismatic owner, Hector P. Valenti (Javier Bardem), to show the world that family can come from the most unexpected places and there’s nothing wrong with a big singing crocodile with an even bigger personality.
The film also stars Winslow Fegley, Scoot McNairy, Brett Gelman and Rudie Bolton. Lyle, Lyle, Crocodile will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 14th October (7th October in the U.S).
