Seven Heaven For Dune: Part Two At Official Film Chart

Bald man angry played by Austin Butler in Dune: Part Two

Dune: Part Two proves an unstoppable force as it soars into a seventh  heaven with another week  at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart.

While Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2) made a valiant effort this week on digital s only, it wasn’t enough to defeat the long-reigning Sci-Fi adaptation. However, it did return to its previous peak.

Last week’s highest new entry, The Fall Guy, drops one place to Number 3, finishing ahead of the Amy Winehouse biopic Back To Black at Number 4 and Madame Web at 5, which both hold on to their positions from last week.

The Equalizer 3 continues its impressive top 10 (6) run, as does Oppenheimer (7). Meg 2: The Trench swims up five to return to the Top 10 (8) – its predecessor, The Meg, also torpedos up nine to Number 11 – closely followed by Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire (9) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (10).

This week’s highest new entry comes from the biopic Ferrari, starring Adam Driver as motor racing driver and founder of the Ferrari brand Enzo Ferrari, as he faces bankruptcy and loss of family and, as a result, a turbulent marriage. He decides to roll the dice to counter his losses on the Mille Miglia, a 1,000-mile race across Italy.

Also in the Top 20 this week, we see all three films from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy – The Fellowship of the Ring (12), The Two Towers (18) and The Return of the King (20) – feature, following a 4K remaster and ongoing chatter around the LOTR film The Hunt For Gollum, which is expected to release in 2026.
