Graphic Novels aren’t all about superheroes, sometimes their about pioneers. Marjane Satrapi‘s Radioactive showcases one particular pioneer, Marie Curie, a true genius.
Today Studiocanal have released the film’s main UK Trailer film based on the graphic novel created by Lauren MacArthur. Rosamund Pike pushes the boundaries as Curie and the discovery of Radium. Changed science forever given people hope with the of her husband Pierre (Sam Riley).
When Radiation gets mentioned, many of us automatically think about the destructive use of radium. However anyone affected by Cancer, it has it’s values. We can’t argue that treatment isn’t pleasant, it’s saved or extended lives. For that Marie Curie deserves plaudits. Especially during a time in history when society frowned on women who fought for change regardless of your gender…
