Sadie Sink To Tom Holland For Spider-Man 4

Spider-Man 4 adds Sadie Sink is big role

Deadline is reporting this evening that the new Spider-Man film, which is due to be released next summer, has already landed its newest recruit – one from the Upside Down…

Stranger Things star Sadie Sink is reportedly set to Tom Holland for Spider-Man 4, which is due to start shooting later this year from Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios. The film is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed Shang-Chi and the Ten Rings for Marvel in 2023, with Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal producing once more. Marvel and Sony had no comment.

Now the fan theory train will be full speed ahead as to who Sink will be playing, with some theorising she will be portraying Jean Grey from the X-Men in the film as the mutants finally the MCU, but there is plenty of other characters she could be portraying, not least Spidey love interest Gwen Stacey who has yet to feature. As a red head, Sink could also play some sort of “prime” Mary Jane Watson, but with Holland’s Peter Parker having his own “MJ” in Zendaya’s Michelle Jones-Watson, that is probably unlikely.

How the film will play out is anyone’s guess still, with the reverberations from Spider-Man: No Way Home still being felt where Parker made the decision to complete Doctor Strange’s spell that erases his identity from the world, as well as Avengers: Doomsday releasing before Spider-Man 4, although Holland’s participation in that film is unconfirmed.

Sink will next be seen in rock-oper O’Dessa, which lands on Disney+ on March 20th, before appearing in the final season of Stranger Things this summer. Holland, meanwhile, is currently deep in production on Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey opposite Matt Damon, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson and a plethora of other A-listers.
Spider-Man 4 is currently set for release on July 31st, 2026.
