Russian Alien Invasion Movie Attraction Gets An UK Trailer

If you think only Hollywood blockbusters can ‘invade’ our cinema screens think again. In 2018 Attraction(Prityazhenie) the latest movie by Fedor Bondarchuk, the director of the Russian box-office smash Stalingrad. The epic sci-fi story following the devastating crash-landing of a mysterious flying object in Moscow, after it is shot down by the Russian Air Force.Of course, chaos follows.

Now we have the UK trailer for the new action-packed movie, that is been called the first Russian movie about an extraterrestrial invasion.

The movie was released earlier this year in it’s native Russia with critics calling it the ‘Russian Arrival’. There is the unique interaction between human and Alien we saw in Denis Villeneuve’s movie but this one is more Invasion than arthouse sci-fi drama. Think again if you think this type of movie is exclusively Hollywood only. The VFX looks impressive and one that looks great on the IMAX screen. Bondarchuk has already proven he can direct the big blockbuster, this looks impressive, I wonder how long before Hollywood comes calling?

Attraction is the latest movie by Fedor Bondarchuk, the director of the Russian box-office smash Stalingrad. It’s a bold, epic sci-fi story following the devastating crash-landing of a mysterious flying object in Moscow after it is shot down by the Russian Air Force. The drama unfolds in the ruins of a working-class suburb overwhelmed by the disaster, as the military struggles to control fear, anger, and the eventual clash between Earth and visitors from another galaxy.

The film will premiere at Russian Film Week at the Science Museum IMAX including a Q&A with Director Fedor Bondarchuk, and Producer & VFX Supervisor Arman Yahin.The movie is part of this month’s Russian Film week and you can find out more about the season here.

Attraction will be released in the UK Cinemas from 19th January 2018. The movie stars Irina Starshenbaum, Aleksander Petrov, Rinal Mukhametov, Oleg Menshikov, Sergey Garmash, Ludmila Maksakova.
