Robert De Niro prepares for two roles in Alto Knights

The most dangerous enemy is an old friend or should we say himself in The Alto Knights. Warner Bros Pictures release the first Trailer which Robert De Niro finds himself against himself!

Barry Levinson directs this one, with Goodfellas scribe Robert De Niro step back into the sub genre help to shape. Many thinking The Irishman was his last rendezvous, and it’s based on a true story. Back to the 1950’s when two crime bosses, friends at one time become enemies when they vie for control of the streets. The incident that changed the American mafia and the country itself.

From Warner Bros. Pictures, “The Alto Knights” stars Academy Award winner Robert De Niro in a dual role, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Barry Levinson.

The film follows two of New York’s most notorious organized crime bosses, Frank Costello (De Niro) and Vito Genovese (De Niro), as they vie for control of the city’s streets. Once the best of friends, petty jealousies and a series of betrayals place them on a deadly collision course that will reshape the Mafia (and America) forever.

“The Alto Knights” was written by Oscar nominee Nicholas Pileggi (“Goodfellas”) and produced by Oscar winner Irwin Winkler (“Rocky,” “Goodfellas”), Levinson, Jason Sosnoff, Charles Winkler and David Winkler, with Mike Drake executive producing.

The rest of the cast includes Debra Messing, Cosmo Jarvis, Kathrine Narducci, Michael Rispoli, Michael Adler, Ed Amatrudo, Joe Bacino, Anthony J. Gallo, Wallace Langham, Louis Mustillo, Frank Piccirillo, Matt Servitto, and Robert Uricola. The Alto Knights will be in UK and Irish cinemas from 21st March.
