Ridley Scott’s Napoleon Will Get A Cinematic Release In November

Ridley Scott's Napoleon coming to UK Cinemas 20th November

Apple  have announced there Ridley Scott epic historical drama Napoleon will be released in cinemas globally in November.

The Apple Original Film will be released in cinemas in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment.  The exact date the film will stream on Apple TV+ has yet to be announced, here’s the synopsis:

Directed by Scott from a screenplay by David Scarpa, “Napoleon” stars Joaquin Phoenix as the French emperor and military leader. The film is an original and personal look at Napoleon’s origins and his swift, ruthless climb to emperor, viewed through the prism of his addictive and often volatile relationship with his wife and one true love, Josephine, played by Vanessa Kirby. The film captures Napoleon’s famous battles, relentless ambition and astounding strategic mind as an extraordinary military leader and war visionary. An Apple Studios production in conjunction with Scott Free Productions, “Napoleon” is produced by Scott, Kevin Walsh, Mark Huffam and Phoenix, with Michael Pruss and Aidan Elliott serving as executive producers.

This news comes after Apple recently announced there other Apple Original film, Martin Scorsese’s Killers Of The Flower Moon will also get a cinematic release. The film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro, as well as newcomer Lily Gladstone will get a 20th October cinema release.  Apple are now taking a more aggressive approach that will see more of their big releases getting a cinema release before they stream on the channel.

Napoleon will be released in cinemas globally including UK and Ireland from 22nd November.
