Power lies in the shadow in the official Trailer for Sky exclusive sci-fi drama Dune: Prophecy.

As promised during the promotion for Dune: Part Two, the world of Aarakis the film is based in will be expanded in the shape of new spin-off series. Dune: Prophecy is that first series, a six episode series based on the Bene Gesserit the secretive powerful sisterhood. It’s all part of that fantastic version Denis Villeneuve has created and 10000 years before Paul Atreides ascended.

Emily Watson and Olivia Williams play Harkonen sisters whose powers threaten humanity. They create a secret sect, the Bene Gesserit to combat that power. This looks epic, will Dune fans embrace this series? If this becomes an success, will it get more thank one season?

From the expansive universe of Dune, created by acclaimed author Frank Herbert, and 10,000 years before the ascension of Paul Atreides, DUNE: PROPHECY follows two Harkonnen sisters as they combat forces that threaten the future of humankind, and establish the fabled sect that will become known as the Bene Gesserit. DUNE: PROPHECY is inspired by the novel SISTERHOOD OF DUNE, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
