Next month Alex Garland‘s Ex_Machina arrives in UK cinemas and this afternoon we get a look at the film’s first official clip as Oscar Isaac and Domhnall Gleeson debate the use of The Turing Test.

This year we saw the release of the fantastic The Imitation Game starring Benedict Cimberbatch as Alan Turing the father of modern computer, in this clip for Ex_Machina, the importance of the test he created is more relevant today as technology expands.

When it comes to humans or any character ‘Playing God’ in film (and TV too) never ends well for all involved, The Turing Test and the pair argue over the importance of the test as well as been a ‘milestone in the history of gods’ The clip certainly leaves you with the impression how far will you and Oscar Isaac‘s character Nathan does have the power of manipulation over Caleb (Gleeson). It’s going to be a story of science versus ethics, which this film is not scared to make things discomforting for those involved.

Ex_Machina co-stars Alicia Vikander, Cory Johnson and Chelsea Li with the film arriving in UK&Ireland from 23rd Janaury 2015, 10th April 2015 USA.
