Pierre Niney’s The Count Of Monte Cristo Gets A UK Trailer

Entertainment Film Distribution have released the official UK Trailer for Pierre Niney’s The Count Of Monte Cristo, ahead of next month’s cinematic release.
The film debuted back in May at Cannes Film Festival garnering some great reviews. Niney maybe directing he also stars in this latest version of the classic Alexander Dumas novel. The film has already played in French Cinema, taking in $10 million at the box office.
The Count Of Monte Cristo tells the story of Edmond Dantès, a man wrongly imprisoned. Jailed on the day of his wedding and spends fourteen years in the island prison of Château d’If. He eventually escapes and takes the identity of the Count Of Monte Cristo to go on a path of revenge on those who betrayed him.
If you enjoyed the recent French adaptations of The Three Musketeers, you’ll enjoy this. Richard Chamberlin, Leonardo Di Caprio, Robert Donat, Jim Caviezel have all played the same role as Niney. Reviews show another version won’t disappoint…
Based on Alexandre Dumas literary masterpiece, The Count of Monte Cristo, which had its world premiere Out of Competition at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, opened in with an impressive $10,000,000 box office in its first week.
The target of a sinister plot, young Edmond Dantes is arrested on his wedding day for a crime he did not commit. After fourteen years in the island prison of Château d’If, he manages a daring escape. Now rich beyond his dreams, he assumes the identity of the Count of Monte Cristo and exacts his revenge on the three men who betrayed him.
The cast for this one includes Anaïs Demoustier, Bastien Bouillon, Anamaria Vartolomei, plus Laurent Lafitte, along with Julien De Saint Jean. The Count Of Monte Cristo will be released in UK and Irish cinemas from 30th August.
