Paul Giamatti In Talks To Play Rhino In The Amazing Spiderman 2?

We hear some outrageous gossip over the years but because of the source of this gossip The Hollywood Reporter this may not be comical as it seems but Paul Giamatti is in talks to play Villain Rhino in The Amazing Spiderman 2.
If your unsure who Rhino is, he first appeared in Amazing Spiderman issue 41 which was published in 1966, one of web crawlers popular villains. A Soviet block counrty thug who wore a suit that gave him superhuman strength as well as super speed ith a horn on top hence the name! In comics Rhino has actually teamed up with Electro who just happens the main villain for The Amazing Spiderman 2 (to be played by Jamie Foxx), in the ‘House Of M’ story arc which saw him be Peter Parker’s bodyguard before betrays him to a group of villains (which included Electro) to expose Spiderman. It is a possible intriguing story line which Marc Webb may consider but he has been the central villain several stories however recent stories he has been a more sympathetic figure finding himself helping Spiderman at times.
The idea of Paul Giamatti playing a horned villain maybe a strange one for some people however it seems its been a childhood dream for the actor which he revealed to ShowbizSpy back in 2011.
“I thought Rhino was the greatest thing when I was a little kid,It was a guy who was basically in this rhinoceros outfit and I always thought, ‘Why don’t they have The Rhino in one of their movies,’ but maybe The Rhino wasn’t that big of a deal for anybody but me…If they ever go with The Rhino I would be ready and waiting.”
The same year he mentioned on Conan O’Brien Show talking about his comic ‘hero’ :“The Rhino was fantastic. He was, like, a Russian guy. He was real fast and he hit stuff real hard.”
In other related The Amazing Spiderman 2 news , hot off the heels from her Sundance Festival hit Breathe In British actress Felcity Jones has been linked to an unspecified role in the film but I’m sure Black Cat may sneak into some people’s minds, but we’re sying nothing until things are more concrete.
