First Trailer For Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another Starring Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio is on the run in new film

Warner Bros. Pictures has today unveiled the first trailer for their film One Battle After Another, which you can watch below!

From Warner Bros. Pictures and Academy Award-nominated, BAFTA-winning filmmaker Leonardo DiCaprio.  Benicio del Toro and Sean Penn also star alongside Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Chase Infiniti, as well as Wood Harris and Alana Haim.
Variety says Plot details and the film’s exact title remained unknown until the first teaser dropped, with “One Battle After Another” expected to be somewhat inspired by Thomas Pynchon’s classic 1990 novel Vineland.” The trailer reveals that DiCaprio plays Bob Ferguson, a wacky, disheveled revolutionary who’s trying to save his daughter. It begins with Bob, in a beanie and bathrobe, using a payphone to request help from some unknown rebel allies but forgetting which codewords to use. Del Toro plays Bob’s sensei and teaches him how to live without fear — and pushes him out of a speeding car. The trailer ends with DiCaprio screaming out “Viva la revolución and he and del Toro prepare to wage war against their enemies.
Anderson directs from his own screenplay and produces alongside Oscar and BAFTA nominees Adam Somner and Sara Murphy, with Will Weiske executive producing. The creative team behind the camera includes several frequent collaborators, among them directors of photography Michael Bauman and Anderson; Oscar-nominated, BAFTA-winning production designer Florencia Martin; BAFTA-nominated editor Andy Jurgensen; Oscar and BAFTA-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood; casting director Cassandra Kulukundis; and music by Oscar- and BAFTA-nominated composer Jonny Greenwood.
Shot on 35mm and at a reported cost of $140million, Warners will be hoping this one is a big player in the fall and at next year’s awards season when it debuts later this year.

One Battle After Another is released on September 26th.
