New Silver Linings Playbook Trailer Ups The ‘Loco’

It’s amazing what a successful film can do to a actor or even director’s career such as Jennifer Lawrence (Winter Bone) David O Russell (The Fighter)In The Silver Linings Playbook we could be looking Bradley Cooper’s breakout. When make a film such as The Fighter which was an unexpected hit winning several Oscars/nominations the pressure will always be on Russell to create something just as good or even better and word from Toronto Film Festival The Silver Linings Playbook might just provide.

The Silver Linings Playbook tells the story of (Cooper) Pat a neurotic man who has has mental issues and has spent the last 4 years of his life in a mental institution now trying to get back into normal life possibly reconcile with ex-wife. Things don’t go just right for him until he strikes a friendship with his neighbour Tiffany ( Lawrence) who just happens to have mental issues too.

This afternoon we have an second trailer which plays down on the feel good quirky  romantic feel playing up on the darker side especially the side of  Lawrence and Cooper been ‘damaged goods’ due to the breakdowns. This trailer is all focused on Cooper who does show he may finally have found that dramatic chop he’s been desiring for a while now but we must go without saying Lawrence looks to have excelled herself once more. The Silver Linings Playbook looks like it will get Russell another Oscar nod and you can check it out when the film is released on November 21st in UK&Ireland. The film also stars Robert De Niro,Jackie Weaver, Chris Tucker and Julia Styles.
