Netflix Releases Trailer For The Haunting of Hill House Shirley Jackson’s Iconic Horror

Haunting Of Hill House House will

When it comes to iconic ghost or haunted house stories, Shirley Jackson‘s 1959 The Haunting Of Hill House is one of the best. In just over three weeks time Netflix will launch the series and today we get a glimpse at the official Trailer.

Mike Flannigan directs and he’s no stranger to the horror genre, already directed the likes of Hush, Oculus, Gerald’s Game. Despite the recent spate of mediocre Original shows and films, this looks a very tense, creepy affair. It may be a modern setting, it does have that gothic tone too. Just hope the series does go for an ever running series, a series that actually has an ending not miles in the distance. Overall looking like some solid scares for October and Halloween

The Haunting of Hill House is a modern reimagining of Shirley Jackson’s legendary novel of the same name, about five siblings who grew up in the most famous haunted house in America. Now adults, they’re reunited by the suicide of their youngest sister, which forces them to finally confront the ghosts of their own pasts… some which lurk in their minds… and some which may really be lurking in the shadows of the iconic Hill House.

The series will star Carla Gugino, Michiel Huisman, Timothy Hutton, Henry Thomas, Annabeth Gish, Elizabeth Reaser, Kate Siegel, Mckenna Grace, Paxton Singleton, Violet McGraw, Oliver Jackson-Cohen and Lulu Wilson.

The series will be in ten parts and The Haunting Of Hill House will be released globally on 12th October.
